Actually started on this one last summer. Turned into a bigger project than planned so it's been sitting since then in the driveway. Time to get back on it and I'm sharing it this time. Rear end was redone last year, new posi unit, axles, bearings and seals. Snowballed from there. I'll make up a whole write-up for the main site on this when it's done, or done enough.
So for those of you that were wondering what was under the car cover in the driveway all winter, here it is.
The body had a pretty good rust problem, you know large holes and someone thought they would fix it by using spray foam. After getting all the crap out we started the work of replacing the rust with new sheet metal. Then disused the large plastic licence plate pocket. Threw it out and welded in a small metal box. Then we thought we would tuck the front bumper in a little bit. Turned into cutting it down to make it shorter as it was then way to wide. Removed the ac and all the weather stripping and then come the problem we have now. BODYWORK.
It's back in the shop and staying now till I get the bodywork done and some paint threw on it. The 305 that's currently in it i'm sure will be leaving as soon as this is done. Only time will tell how far this one is going to go. With all that here is a few pictures.
